FAQs

The biggest benefit of outsourced paraplanning is freeing up time to spend with your clients instead of doing paperwork. Getting the experience of a highly qualified paraplanner and assistance with managing your processes are additional benefits. This access to highly qualified and professional paraplanning support is also available to you without the traditional expenses associated with an employed member of staff. Para-Sols can also be more flexible and adaptable to accommodate fluctuations in workflow. Our large team ensures you have support that far outweighs the ability of an employed member of staff.

For compiling suitability reports, we will need everything that would normally be required; factfind, meeting notes, details of existing holdings etc.

For other paraplanning needs, such as research or plan/fund analysis, the information needed would be different, but we can discuss all cases to ensure a smooth procedure. We have document checklists that we’re able to send you to assist in the case submission process. Documents can either be uploaded to our Rise system, or shared with us via your own document sharing / back office system. We take the security of your data very seriously and can provide details of our security procedures upon request.

We can produce reports and provide paraplanning support on all areas of financial planning including investments, pensions (including occupational), protection, tax planning, EIS and VCT schemes. We also work with firms on cashflow planning, and producing non transactional financial plans.

We also offer centralised services to your company; producing your platform due diligence and Centralised Investment and Retirement Propositions.

We have an industry-leading 5 working day turnaround time, from receipt of all information. Cases are generally returned to you 5 working days from the time they are input into the system, with any delays only attributed to external issues (such as waiting for information from providers).

All the information you send us is completely secure. We are registered under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 and we run a paperless office meaning all information is stored in password protected and daily backed up Macs.

Yes, we can. Provide us with your brand guidelines and all documentation will meet this criteria, meaning the client will receive a seamless service and not be able to tell the difference between reports and letters created by Para-Sols or you.

This depends on which type of report you want! The paper reports will be sent to you in Word, allowing you to add personal details as you wish, before sending to your client. Our interactive reports are a link, embedded into a cover letter. Once reports are completed, you will be notified that they are available for download from our system, Rise. We don’t send any files by email, everything is stored securely on Rise and is available for you to refer back to at a later date.

Para-Sols are not authorised or regulated by the FCA. The regulated adviser remains responsible for the recommendations and advice given.

Our service is broken down into a membership fee, and fixed costs for each piece of work. Our case management system has all fees showing, so you know exactly how much a piece of work will cost before you submit it to us. More information can be found in our brochure.

No. We ask for 30 days notice if you wished to cancel the service. This allows us time to complete any final cases for you and to ensure you have time to download all case documents from the system before your account is disabled.

No, cases are invoiced at the month end when completed and the fees will be requested for payment 14 days following the invoice date.

Yes, we work with a range of businesses from solo advisers through to large organisations with their own in-house paraplanning teams. We pride ourselves on relationship building and working as a natural extension of an existing paraplanning team is something we’re very experienced in.

Our system allows multiple users to be added, so that each member of your inhouse team can have access to upload cases as required.

Apricity Compliance is also part of The Verve Group, but is a separate, independent company, with its own team of experienced and knowledgeable compliance consultants. While we share industry knowledge at a Verve level (to ensure a consistent approach to supporting advisers) the businesses and employees are very separate.

Shorter is over simplifying it. The reports have the same content, but some of the larger, wordier pieces are now videos or infographics. There is also the ability to have a title, which acts as a hover function for chunkier pieces of text, again reducing the immediate content view. It may have fewer pages, but there is more depth to each page.

The report is provided with a cover letter, which has the link embedded, and this can sit on the file. The link itself is secure. Clients can only access it if they have the direct link and they are not searchable via search engines, etc. We can also password protect the links too.

We have also future-proofed this by looking at what might happen in 20-30 years, if that website no longer exists. There are options here, including HTML 5 and PPT. Either provide a secure, and permanent method of storing the report – with different features, depending on your requirements. We can discuss this with you upon commencement of using this style report.

We have designed a simple PDF version of the client declaration page, similar to the cover letter that will be received, which will provide on each case.

In this format, you would be able to add any signatures in Adobe, upload to your chosen e-signature platform, or print it out for the client to physically sign.

We can do this at our end, just give us a call and we can do it ASAP for you.

Once the online report has been ‘published’ and the link is live, any changes we make will be automatically updated in the URL. There isn’t a need for version 1, version 2 and so on.

We compared a review style report that contains existing plan analysis, recommended analysis, comparisons, etc, in both formats.

The new style report plus the HTML 5 hard copy took up more storage than the word document. But, in contrast, the new style plus the editable PPT took up less space than the Word document.
